Flist, I caught something on the Plague Plane back from Spain. Probably several somethings because I don't get sick. Sore, yes. Bruised, definitely. Hay fever, perhaps occasionally. Apparently, in the early 20th Century, Japanese-Canadians in Vancouver had baseball teams. GREAT baseball teams. The community was as baseball crazy as Euro-Canadians are about hockey.

Three years ago, there was a RIDICULOUS gang war in MetroVancouver. Not quite up to the 1980s Bloods vs Crips wars but it was vicious. My understanding of it was that some young guns were pushing against Ye Olde Garde especially with the drug trade getting tight.
